Please do not forget Pakistan

Please do not forget Pakistan. Those people are desperate for any help whatsoever. They will need lots of support in the days to come. Only God knows for how much longer.

Their situation will require ongoing support till they stand on their feet again. We need to send away anything we can every now and then.

Jazakom Allaho khayran.. May God reward you all for everything and anything, even if it is just a prayer.

Shirazi no matter what or how we all feel it is nothing compared to what the Pakistanis and a fraction of the Indians are going through now. We are in our homes.. eating, drinking and enjoying our shelter and the warmth it provides, while they and many others am sure, but i guess their disaster is the worst now.

I just feel we should not get all emotional for a while then sleep on it. We must keep the enthusiasm for help on the go. It is human nature sometimes to get all emotional about something then get caught up in other matters. We need to beware if this terrible habit.

We need to change. We need to stop living in a small circle. We need to remove boundaries.. To do everything and anything that we can to help those in distress and to stop being so self centered or for our attention to only be concentrated in a limited area.

Every small action will count. Each one of us can make a difference and we must remind ourselves and others of that. Even if each of us makes a daily prayer, I'm sure it will count.

But we must not LET OURSELVES FORGET.

The least we can do is keep the prayers going.

Especially as winter approaches we must not forget these people. They are part of our human family and their pain truly is our own.

Yes Jane..
Each time i feel a chil now i feel so bad, i am in my home and they are out in the open...deprived of everything.

They must be freezing, in pain, scared, disoriented and hungry.

I feel so bad for all of them, but especially more for the children. children are so innocent and fragile. I wish i can reach out to them. I did what little i could where donations are concerned. I pray God enables me to do more. And I pray God enables us all to be of help even if by remembering them with a prayer. Not only them. Lately there are many out there also in distress. But i feel the Pakistanis share of misery was the worst so far.

God help them please and help any one else going through similar situations. Amen.

Wouldn't it be better to say
"Please do not forget those in Pakistan and India'
Pain and suffering do not recognize national boundaries, just as 'the milk of human kindness' can flow from anyone irrespective of race, ethnicity, and nationality.

It seems in the wake of other tragedies that the victims in Pakistan are being forgotten. One UN official said that the damage after the earthquake was much worse than the recent tsunami.

Jazake Alla khayran ya Dalulla .. we really should never forget... a couple of days ago there was this campaign on MBC to collect donations ... the conditions there are miserable... Allah ye3eenhom we yessabbarhom we ye2addarna kolenna 3ala fe3l elkheir...

id it is
yes ofcourse id, but Pakistan has been the primary land inflicted and maybe that is why Pakistan is always the country used to refer to the incident. Ethnicity, race and nationality are not the issue now, the people in the entire area have been badly inflicted and i believe all are recieving aid, regardless of their ethnic or racial background. When donations are made, no one lables them for a certain group of people, they go to the whole area.

Abu Sinan,
Why did you say "forgotton"? Lots of aid is going there and is being collected this minute for them. Can you please tell me what you meant? I think the entire world is aware of how bad the damage has been there and many people from different nations regardless of their religions or nationalities are doing what they can.

I pray they pass this soon insha'Allah.

Me..
Ya 7abebty, Jazana wa iyakom. I've been really feeling disturbed lately since that incident happened. The MBC is still working on the donations and Iqraa too and i think many others are masha'Allah. There is lots of good within the human heart al hamd lillah. The conditions are beyond miserable ya Me... I pray we really do not forget and that all of us try to keep on doing what we can to help even if by Duaa. We should not underestimate the Duaa and whatever else God may facilite from materialistic aid we can offer to them and others.

Ameen for your duaa insha'Allah.

It looks like Pakistan exceeded it goal of 5.2 billion in international pledges. They recieved pledges of 5.4 billion.

These funds can help rebuild the infrastructure, but not repair the individuals affected. That will take time, and a different kind of support.
